MGC Geldrop fell on their home field to MGC Appelscha at Dutch team championships 2008, played on 17–18 May at the beton course of Geldrop.

The victorious team of Appelscha included the players Leo Cats, Gerty Berentsen, Zeno Folkertsma, Gerco Berentsen, Jacco van der Stelt, Huub Bottenberg and Eppie Paulusma.

The best player of the competition was Mees Bouwman of EMG De Putters, with average score 28.30 at the easy beton course of Geldrop.

In women’s competition the defending champion MGC Geldrop was leading with 8 points before the last round, but MGC Leeuwarden played a killer round 83 (average 27.67) in the last round, and took gold with a margin of 2 points.

The team of MGC Leeuwarden included the players Ingrid van der Laan, Astrid Jasper, Annie Jasper and Marrie Bonhof. The best female player of the competition was Ingrid van der Laan, with average score 28.50.

The men of MGC Appelscha and women of MGC Leeuwarden now have the right to participate in European Cup 2008, which is played in Hilzingen, Germany on 2–4 October 2008.
