Matt McCaslin wins US Open

McCaslin brothers continue picking the champion titles of major tournaments in United States. This time it was Matt who collected the first prize of US Open 2008, defeating the silver medalist Peter Gilchrist by one point per round at Dolphin Minigolf course in Boothbay, Maine (USA). Between 2002 and 2004, the three McCaslin brothers won minigolf US Open in consecutive years — the oldest brother David in 2002, Daniel in 2003, and youngest brother Matt in 2004.
US Open and US Masters have been traditionally played at Hawaiian Rumble and Hawaiian Village courses in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (USA). US Open now begins touring different parts of the country, but the Masters is still played in North Myrtle Beach. US Open and US Masters are organized by USPMGA, a member of World Minigolfsport Federation. United States also has another large minigolf association, PPA (sponsored by Putt-Putt course manufacturing company), which used to offer sensationally large money prizes in the past decades. PPA is not a member of WMF, because WMF only allows one minigolf federation per country.
